I am going to post mine on my facebook page (no peeking!) to get some opinions. If they are lukewarm, I'm making another one this weekend!!!

The rule is no posting online or it is disqualified. Sorry no Facebook either. We need to keep them unseen so the voting is fair and and noone is influenced by knowing who made it.

I actually made 6 blocks, and have narrowed it down to two. Had my daughter vote this morning and think I may have the final decision.

oops guess i have to make another block! Thats ok - I didn't like it the more I looked at it! I guess if I needed other opinions that should have told me something! heehee

Well if you're like me the first one or ones I make aren't usually the better ones. If I do it again my next attempt is always better than the first. I am sure whatever you decide to enter will be beautiful!

Hey Rhonda here is an idea. Maybe we could take our blocks after the contest, finish them (bat, back, quilt and bind) and donate to the Ahlzheimer's Auction that I think is held in Texas? New Mexico? Someone on the board posted about this. We could post the pictures of our finished blocks before we send them out? Just a thought....

If they are the right size that would be a great idea. I think they have to be 9" to be able to send them.

If anyone would like to use your quilt block entry to make into a quilt to donate to the AAQI organization to be donated for raising money for Alzheimers you should check out the rules here. There is a size requirement.

You can enter any size quilt block into my contest but if you are using it to send to AAQI make sure you are in the right size range for them to accept it.

I will try and join in, but right now I can't promise as I tied down to work all this week, but I will certainly try. Sounds like fun!!
