here is a recipe that I have used for years
2 1/4 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 heaping tablespoons baking powder
dash salt
1/2 cup margarine 1 square
1 egg and milk to equal one cup
mix together and roll to 1 inch thick. bake in a 400 degree oven for 18-20 minutes.
you can roll out flat and make cinnamon buns
I have given this recipe to many people

i've made homemade biscuits for 47 yrs. southern girls use self rising flour, and the recipe used to be on the side of the sack. off the top of my head, i think it's 2 cups of flour, about a 1/4 cup of crisco, and milk added gradually, to get a good consistency. add a little more milk, and you can make drop biscuits. a little less and you can roll them out. stir as little as possible as you add the milk. 375 for about 10 minutes.
