I make biscuits alot, but don't have recipe. I learned from my mother, look and feel of the dough. I do use self rising flour and butter flavor Crisco and milk.
Bisquick has a great recipe on the box. Follow that recipe and I think yhou will be happy with the results.

Let us know how the biscuits turn out. Happy eating.

I hope yours turn out better than mine do... My husband has made the remark that we should save mine and do an addition to the house (hard as bricks!). His mother was a little bitty woman, about 4'10"... could barely see over the kitchen counter, but she could make the best homemade biscuits I've ever tasted. She used crisco, buttermilk, and self-rising flour. Wonderful. Good luck!

Paula Deen's best biscuits! 2 c. self rising flour, 1 1/2 cups whipping cream, 2 T. sugar. Roll out and cut with cutter or glass. Bake at 400 for 10 min or till brown on top.

    Nana's Biscuits
4 cups of all purpose flour
    6 teaspoons of baking powder
    2 teaspoons salt
1/4 cup or less of sugar
    1/2 cup shortening
    2 cups milk.
mix all dry ingredients in large bowl, cut in shortening, until crumbly looking, add milk. mix well. roll or pat out dough on a floured surface, about 1/2" thick. ( for really tall biscuits, go with 1" thick) cut with biscuit cutter or drinking glass. Bake on a greased cookie sheet for 15 minutes or until brown in a 350 oven. makes 18 to 24 biscuits depending on the size glass you use.
