One of my favorite magazines. I made this trying to use up some canned applesauce I was "gifted". They came out quite good, the only thing I would add is maybe a 1/4 teaspoon of salt. I did put in the walnuts, yum!!

I agree it's a great magazine with recipes for the average person. Need to try this - grandkids will be here in 2 weeks.

I use applesauce instead of the oil/butter when I make cakes or muffin mixes, they come out lighter and tastes great. My kids couldn't tell the difference.
