Best cookies
I love Belvitas so looked online for a make at home version. I found out there is a recipe called Hobnobs (British I think). Not quite a Belvita but really really good. More like an oatmeal cookie without raisins or nuts.

Calls for golden syrup, but I just use a little corn syrup. Can use honey too.
Love it and thought some of you might want to give them a try.
Got some in the oven right now by the way.

Baked them this afternoon. Used regular flour along with a bit of salt and a teaspoon and a half of baking powder to make it same as self rising. I didn't need to bake mine as long as stated. I used 300 degrees but only baked fifteen minutes or so. I added chopped walnut and a few chopped peanuts. Yummy!

I think any kind of syrup would work to be honest, even pancake syrup. I fixed another batch today since he likes thin crispy cookies. I baked them a little longer and flattened them a lot. He's happy now.
