I want to make a dish for BIL, who is having the heart issues. He is home, but I am sure his wife is very busy, so a nice meal would be appreciated.
Any suggestions.....they have 6 kids at home, so it has to be a large portion and NOT TOO expensive. I thought of a baked tuna cassarole, but I am not sure the kids would eat it, lol!

Everything I think of is either too fattening or too expensive for all those people :(
    Sorry!!

Here is a great, easy and cheap crock pot recipe for BBQ chicken.

My kids love it. You can serve with rice or cornbread or almost anything!

I know Susan....I just dont have alot of money right now. I dont think fattening is a problem, they are all skinny , and even the heart patient is skinny. They dont know why it happened, but it wasnt clogged arteries or anything.
Thanks, oatw13, I will check it out!

Chili is always good. Maybe a la$agna or spaghetti dish. Noodle salads are inexpensive, or mac and cheese. Stuffed peppers can be made with rice and ground turkey. Here, chicken thighs are on sale, a big pkg baked with BBQ or herbed might fit the bill. Meatloaf can be cost effective too. Good Luck! I'm sure you'll find some idea that works!

Thank Sweet. A big pan of mac and cheese, the real baked stuff might go over great there with all the kids!
I just started some cookies, to!
