Never heard of a salmon patty sauce. Gonna have to try that out, as if they arent fattening enough lets put some gravy on them, gotta be yummy!

Oh yes...I bet thats it...some hard parmesan and then Old Bay...thanks so much! Diane, if you can get the recipe, that would be wonderful! I told my DH and he said I bet that is exactly it...I just didn't think it was just a plain classic white sauce.

    Hi Sandpat,

I got an answering machine when I called just now at 2 PM. I'll try again later. Maybe they are closed on Mondays.

Oh, they could be...I'm in a really small rural area and lots of places aren't open on Mon. The restaurants aren't open on Mon. or Tues. nights around here. Thanks so much for checking on it though...tell them that your southern redneck friend really needs it!

I just talked to the owner of the restaurant and he says he uses a creamy alfredo sauce and just shakes some hard parmesian over the sauce, garnished with parsley. He does not use Old Bay Seasoning, but said that would be something he might try.

I don't eat salmon..one of the fish I can't stand, yuck! Mom used to make salmon patties for Dad, but never had a cream sauce on it. Dad didn't get it much because of the cost of it at the time....

But, glad you found a recipe for it and your hubby doesn't have to starve. lol

As a west coaster, I sometimes make a tomato sauce to have with salmon patties. Very simple....crush and thicken a can of stewed tomatoes with a little flour.

Rather than make patties with a white sauce, I sometimes make the sauce, (with hard boiled eggs), and add the canned salmon right into the sauce. Add a few frozen peas for colour, and serve over toast. A favourite with my kids!!!
