This is the recipe I mentioned that has Turmeric in it. I know Mimisharon and Chele wanted it. It should be right, although it is one of those recipes that seemed so easy I never wrote it down. I did some Google searches, and this is what others use too. Someone had mentioned how good turmeric is for you if you have arthritis/joint pain.

    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
    1/2 teaspoon turmeric

Mix all these together and rub on the skin of a washed and dried whole chicken. Be careful because the turmeric will STAIN everything.

I put any extra inside the chicken also.

Roast in the oven with 1/2 a lemon and 1/2 a small onion inside.

Thanks Wendy! Sounds delish. A simple rub. I normally put a lemon and onion inside my bird too! We are so weird! :D Do you ever cook your chickens on the grill, a la "Beer Can Chicken?" I did two last week. One with a Mexican rub and the other Jamaican jerk. Killed two dinners with two birds and one grill session!

I have cooked a pot roast on the grill with beer using a roasting pan, but haven't tried chicken with beer yet.

We're having lamb on the bbq tonight. Not my favorite, but DH loves his lamb! He must be Greek.

Oh my, lamb is my favorite! Especially on the grill! You're eating good tonight! I have chicken kabobs grilling. Lots of fresh veggies I found. I slipped in a few pieces of chicken!
