    Default Chocolate Bark

My sister had been using the Walmart brand Almond chocolate bark for years when making her candies. This year when we received some from her and m husband tells me that it tastes like imitation chocolate. Is there a good tasting bark out there for candy?

I use Ghirardelli melting chocolate. The flavored waxy bark is not very good.

Past few years I have had trouble find Brachs Chocolate Almond bark. Hope it's not gone forever.

I read somewhere that a lot of the chocolate growers lost most of their cacao due to storms or war. A lot of manufactures couldn't get chocolate products made. My grandmother always melted Hershey bars to make chocolate dipped foods. She said start with good to get good. We loved Hershey's chocolate bars, she always had lots of those in her pantry.

Ditto here. Wiltons also puts out a similar product called candy melts

I like the candy melts which I get at JoAnn Fabrics. They seem smoother and tastier than the blocks.

I just use dark chocolate chips in the bag.
DD dipped pretzels in chocolate, then sprinkled with bits of candy cane--mmmm, mmmm

I am a chocolate slob. I don't do most chocolate. I like Ghirardelli or Dove, or I have heard Tony's is good but haven't tried it. No I don't even like Hersey's anymore. I have even switched to Ghirardelli Brownie mix and have gotten compliments on my brownies.

If the Walmart brand Almond chocolate bark isn't meeting expectations consider trying premium options like Ghirardelli, Lindt, Godiva, or Trader Joe's. Explore different brands to find the one that suits your taste for candy making. Specialty shops or local artisans may also offer unique and high quality options.
