OK here goes, first I made the Easy pumpkin muffins----GREAT. The muffins have nice round tops, just like we want them.
Then the brownies--GREAT--moist with lots of chocolate flavor. I used 1/4 cup applesauce in place of the oil, used the other 1/4 cup in the muffins. Baked at 350° for 20 minutes. The brownies are a full 1" tall.

I will make both again and have the printed recipes in my keeper folder.
Thanks again for posting the links for us.

so you replaced applesauce instead of the oil in both of the recipes?

this is the muffin recipe I used but thought it was a tad too thick and added 1/4 cup applesauce. Also added 2 eggs and beat the day lights out of the batter, to make it light and fluffy.
I used 2 cups home grown pumpkin, yellow cake mix and upped the pumpkin pie spice to 3 teaspoons.

The chocolate brownies are from the link you posted above from Cooks.com and used applesauce in place of the oil.

Family will do the testing tomorrow both home and away.

Family did not care for the brownies but love the pumpkin cupcakes. With a bit of ice cream they taste like pie.
