Just hope it taste as good as it looks. I also pound the pans on the counter.
Here are pic before icing.
I know pics may look as if cake is dry. But it really does not look dry in person

I make wedding cakes try these tips...
1. Don't grease and flour your cake pans. Grease them and then line them with parchment paper (I've used waxed paper in a pinch and it works too). Then spray the parchment paper with a cooking spray.
2. When you take the cake out of the oven immediately spray the cake pan and the cake with water not just a few sprays but until you don't hear the sizzle when the water hits the pan. This stops the baking process quickly.
3. After spraying with water remove cakes from pan and wrap with plastic wrap and allow to cool. Also helps with ending the baking process.

I made the "Best Ever Chocolate Cake" and it was! My kids loved it, and my friend who used to bake cakes for a living said she had never had such a delicious cake. A little extra work, but definitely worth it.

Hi ther e- I got THE chocolate cake for you! Two actually, but have one in my head and will have to run downstairs to get the other one. Okay, this one is MOIST, LIGHT and DELICIOUS!! Use it all the time and I do cake orders and decorating from home.
1 pkg. Duncan Hines Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix (or other fudgy cake mix)
1 cup mayonaise
1 cup water
3 eggs
I usually mix the eggs and mayo first, then add the mix and water - doesn't make a mess that way. I usually set timer for about 15 mins. (depends on pan used) and check it. Since I bake in all different size and shape pans, don't know exact timing. Test with cake tester. When just a couple crumbs stick, take it out of oven!! 350 degrees
Will be back with other recipe!

Thanks to everyone for your recipes. My cake was a little dry. The icing was just great. I will add a little apple sauce to the batter next time. In the mean time I think I will try the one "The best chocolate cake ever." Like I said I am on the baking from scratch kick. I think I will also google the wacky cake and check it out.
