1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 well beaten eggs
3 mashed bananas
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp soda
1/4 c. nuts
1/4 cherries (jar or candied)
1/4 chocolate chips
Mis all ingredients well, I put dry things first and add as you go. Pour into loaf pans, Bake for one hour at 350 degrees.
You can cut them down the center and then in slices. Goes a long way and delicious.

Looks like a nice recipe...will have to try it when the bananas are a little cheaper.lol Our bananas are hovering around $12 -$16 a kilo at the moment, so our mums have to be loaded before we would consider buying them. Will archive it.
