Been doing that for 20 years. Doesn't fight off the dementia though. Ann

coconut oil has a wonderful flavor! i use nature's way pure extra virgin organic. i dont use it on all things, because while its good fat, my understanding is that it is high in fats.

Any favorite recipes that you use? Ann in TN
I LOVE Coconut Oil and it's very good for you, I only use it in baking, white cakes well actually any of my cakes. It's wonderful.

I'm allergic to coconut so will not be trying that. It gives me hives.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I will keep a look out for the coconut oil and try it.

I always read that coconut oil is the highest in saturated fat of any and is very unhealthy.

There is new clinical information in several different areas one of which is the National Institute of Health. Here is the first in a series of 6 interviews done with Dr Mary Newport whose husband has Alzheimer's disease and the therapy she developed for him while waiting for other medications to be approved for human studies.

It is long but well worth viewing. This is just one example and there are several cited studies out since the mid 1980's. Ann in TN

That's old info. Saturated fat is not the problem...but that's a whole other topic. ;)
