I just have to tell you the following.....who knew?

    Yes Cooler Corn,

what the heck is cooler corn you say?" a Coleman cooler appears to be your vegetable cooker for those summer months and larger crowds, the cooler is washed/wiped clean, then filled with the shucked ears. Next, two or more kettles-full of boiling water are poured over the corn just to cover and the top closed. Leave it closed......

    Then nothing.

30 minutes later - open the cooler, the corn is perfectly cooked. This corn will remain at the perfect level of doneness for a couple of hours.

Great idea! I am going to have to try this next summer!

I've blanched corn for freezing in the dishwasher, but have never heard of "cooler corn".

I received this recipe in an e-mail yesterday. Looks like it would be worth a try.
