    I do a similar recipe:

    Cranberries one bag.
    1/2 cup orange juice
zested peel of one orange (or four tangerines)
    2/3 a cup sugar

blend cranberries with the orange juice, add a touch more orange juice to blender til cut and well blended. I then add zest and sugar. starting 1/2 cup of sugar and adding a tiny bit more as needed. That's it. chill it turns bright red when resting in fridge for a few hours. Its a marvelous sweet/ slightly tart relish which perfectly cleanes the palate when you have such a rich dish. turkey and stuffing and gravy? a tiny bit of relish in each bite and ahh.... grin. I love it. just had a relish turkey stuffing sandwich for breakfast and it was marvelous. ! (we had thanksgiving yesterday because today is my hubbys day for tacos silly goose)

Thank you! I had done this without the apple, but I had some Granny Smith apples(for fresh apple bread) and tried your way. We Loved It!

I found the cookbook "Farm Journal Christmas Book" on Amazon for a penny plus $3.99 shipping. Thanks for posting about it I think I will enjoy it.
