    Default Easy Chicken Tortilla Soup

    Stacy's Easy Chicken Tortilla Soup

    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 can cream of celery soup
    1 can cheddar cheese soup
    1 can chicken broth (15 oz)
    1 can diced tomatoes (15 oz)
    1/2 cup chunky salsa
    1 4 1/2 oz diced green chilies
    1/8 c. fresh cilantro (i used some dried)
    2 garlic cloves minced (i didn't use them)
    1/2 onion chopped (i didn't use)
    1 t. red chili powder
    salt, pepper to taste
    2 chicken breasts cooked and chopped (i used 2 large cans chicken breast)

    Add all to large pot. Bring to boil and simmer up to 1 hr. Top with tortilla chips cut into strips and fried or shredded cheese or tortilla chips

    This recipe is written just as i got it from my co worker. Her mother's notations are in parentheses. I kinda adapted it to my liking - i added garlic, no onions i used diced tomatoes with chilies, etc. My parents loved it - in fact it is a request for super bowl weekend at mom's this year. Hope everyone enjoys it!

    looking sounds good...i sure will must be try this at home.I love soup.I also found one this type of nice recipe from weekly home magazine.I will be next time post here.

    Thanks for sharing -DH has a craving for this soup of late- Had it every week so we try different versions of it .. I just told him about yours and he said to copy it and we'll have it Friday night !LOL (he just got off his shift and is going to bed!LOL, we have Fridays & Saturday nights together !LOL)
