I belong to the Cherokee Crazy Quilter's Guild and we meet at the Rock Barn (Historical) just by Cherokee High School every Wednesday from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. We are having our quilt camp this week up at the Community Center in Ball Ground. We will meet all day Tuesday, Wednesday and 1/2 day on Thursday. We just sew, eat too much, share fun ideas and enjoy our time together. This is a really friendly group with members of all ages and experience. I have learned so much from the members over the last 5 years. The group grows during school breaks but there are usually 30-35 members and when we have our late spring garden party/picnic or quilt camps the number expands. Come join us! We bring recipes to the potluck business meeting once a month. Did mention that we love to cook and share good fun new food ideas too? Let me know. JC

Did you hear about the new quilt shop opening up in Jasper? Here is the information I have.
The Quilt Shop on Main in Jasper is hoping to open later this week (phone #706-692-0701), but the official open house is scheduled for October 9. The shop is owned/operated by Karen Williams who worked part-time at Tiny Stitches in Marietta and also does longarm quilting.
I don't know how to reply to you one on one yet. Help! Haven't figured out all the stops. JC
