    You are welcome. You get a good clean cut and it doesn't stick to the knife as you didn't use one. I was amazed at how well it worked the first time I tried it.

    The easiest method I've used for hard boiled eggs is;
    Cold water to start, salt the water, lay the eggs in, bring to a boil and let it boil for about 1 minute. Cover the pot and turn off the heat. Let it sit like this for about five minutes then drain off the hot water. Leave the lid on and shake and roll the pot to crack the shells. Put cold water in and the shells nearly fall off.

    What I do is I put salt in the water to boil them and when done I hit first one end on the counter then the other end and they peel without any problem at all and no tore up eggs.

    We have been going insane with our horrible eggshells - the one thing I know we haven't tried is the salt - Thanks - we will try that one!

    It could be that your eggs are too fresh - let them sit out an hour or so before boiling if you grow your own.
