    Default Favorite Instapot Recipes Share

I am cooking with my instapot this fall and winter. It is a new to me and I am looking forward to warm food during cold weather.

    Please share favorite tested recipes.

I made some pork carnitas for my first recipe. I got this from Mommy’s home cooking blog and I used her spice mix recipe which is spicy but delicious.

Check out the This old gal website. Also pressure luck. There are a lot of great sites out there. I have 3 Instant Pots and have been using them for several years with great success if you like that kind of cooking (we do). Sometimes I google what I feel like cooking followed by the words instant pot and many good recipes come up and then I add or delete what we like/dislike

I used my Instant Pot yesterday morning to make a pot of steel cut oats. Super Easy and so good. The only change I make to the recipe is I use 3 1/2 cups water and 1 cup half and half. Makes them very creamy and the only thing I add when eating is a spoonful of brown sugar. It makes a lot so I portion out in containers and refrigerate, then all I have to do is heat and eat. Sometimes I add a fried egg to the top without the brown sugar.
Stitchnripper is right.....lots of site with recipes. In addition to the two listed, another of my favorites is SkinnyTaste. Never had a failure with any of hers.

I love it to cook venison. I add some garlic powder and onions carrots, potatoes and celery. Then add a beef stew seasoning packet and a packet of Lipton french onion soup. Cook a small roast for about an hour to be sure it is well cooked. This is a phenomenal meal!

I just made the boiled eggs yesterday & they turned out fantastic. I did the 6-6-6 method. That's 6 minutes steaming (after pre heating), 6 minutes sitting before quick release, 6 minutes in ice water. We have fresh yard eggs that generally are really hard to peel. We lose most of the white in peeling. These from the instant pot peel so very, very easily. I didn't leave a single egg white left behind.

One of my favorite things to make is Lemon Curd. No stirring and stirring. I use the recipe from Jacky and Amy, it might be called pressure luck, but just type in Jacky and Amy and it will come up. I like all of the recipes I have tried from their website.

One of our favorite recipes is pepper steak:
1 lb beef round steak cut 1/2" thick
    1 large can peeled tomatoes
2 green peppers cut into 1/2" strips
chopped onions to taste (usually 1/2 onion depending on size)
    3/4 cup water
1 bottle Kikkoman Teriyaki baste & glaze sauce

Cook on high 15 minutes. Release pressure at once. This recipe is especially good when served with rice.

Tasteofhome.com has a lot of recipes for the Instant Pot at:

    https://www.tasteofhome.com/search/index?search=instant+pot

What I like about Taste of Home is that people rate and comment on the recipes so you can determine which recipes are good and get tips on changes you might want to make to a recipe.
