    Default French fry cutter review.

My grandmother had a countertop french fry cutter and it worked great. A veg o matic I think. My grands love mashed potatoes but I don't like peeling potatoes at all, seems a big waste of my time. I thought if I had a french fry cutter I could save so much time, no peeling and no cutting. I didn't want one that was big and costly. I found this one at Walmart and I am very pleased with it. It was easy to use and I put in a big baking potato to try and it cut with ease. Big long cuts. Perfect for baking scallop potatoes too. And a bonus to me it's compact and easy to store and inexpensive. about $18. Easy to clean. Just wanted to give a review of this one: Prep Solutions French Fry Cutter and Vegetable Chopper

I more for my two daughters and nieces for Christmas gifts. Something they wouldn't think to buy. They like kitchen small appliances/tools that are useful. Last year I got them banana slicers. They use them and think they are great. Cost me about $2 each. I use mine a lot more then I thought. My first thought was why did I buy this? LOL

Ibex, read the labels. The first fry cutter I bought stated that it wouldn't cut sweet potatoes. It was cheap and, of course, eventually broke. Well, we used it a lot, so I bought a better, more professional one. It does cut sweet potatoes. I chose it because the lever for cutting was easier to use. Love to cut my squash into fries! Also, apples for apple pie-perfect!

Looks like a handy gadget, I buy frozen seasoned fries and frozen sweet potatoes fries. I cook them in the air fryer and they turn out really good. It's just the two of us, the fresh potatoes and sweet potatoes go bad before I use them.

The heavier ones are nice for lots of use.

I've had a metal one for years but looks much different from yours. I like yours though. Mine has a handle on top that you push down and it pushes the potatoe sideways thru the cutter blade. I've had this one for probaably 20 years. Used to use it a lot but now rarely, still keep it in it's original box too.

The recipe will work with air fryer too and only take about 8 min to crisp after boiling. I seldom use my oven when I can air fry so much faster. I do use oil in my air fryer, some foods needs the oil.
