Default Fudgy and Moist Brownie Recipe

I have a heck of time making brownies from scratch that turn out as moist as the ones in the box. I finally found a recipe that does just that, and just wanted to share with you all.

It actually is yummy. Maybe the melting of the butter over simmering water helps, or the little flour it uses. I read where some just microwaved the butter to melt, but I did follow the instructions on this one. I copied it for later use. I just made some the other day from another recipe and it was dry, not very good.

I wonder if I could use Splenda instead of sugar.

I don't know much about splenda, but I thought it was supposed to use it like sugar in baking. In that case, it should work. Let us know. It would be good to know if it worked.

I have never used splenda in brownies but use it all the time in my zucchini bread and it works just fine. I think the bread dries out a little bit faster with splenda. You will just have to eat the brownies faster.

That would work out fine then. This recipe does not make a lot of brownies really.

When it calls for certain ingredients and does not suggest substitutes, I stick to the original ingredients. You can always doctor it up later to your own tastes but I have found in the past when you do to your own taste you really never find out if it's that good. I have seen this recipe and it's great. Best brownies I've ever made. I have used Splenda and pitched it. Way too sweet for me. DH is not good with fine, he wants great!

Good to know someone else has tried this one and been happy with it. You never know if it is just you and maybe no one else will like it too. I do like sweets (unfortunately) but I thought this one was fine. I read some reviews where they added sugar or that it was bitter. I never noticed that at all.
