Default How many cups of rhubarb make one pound

I want to make the jam that was posted several days ago. I finally got the bright idea to go online to ask "how many cups of rhubarb make one pound" and sure enough there were many places for the conversion.

By the way, 3 cups of chopped rhubarb makes 1 pound so that recipe would take 6 1/2 cups of chopped rhubarb to make the jam.

Off to buy the orange to begin making it before the rhubarb goes to seed.

I doesn't hurt if the rhubarb goes to seed. Sometimes this happens very early in the season. Just break off the seed heads as they form. Rhubarb should be good until July (in Wisconsin).

I picked some of the rhubarb and noticed some stalks had begun to form the flower so I did what maviskw suggested and cut those out.
When I made the jam it is rather "loose" but I'm hoping it firms up as it sits.
