    Thanks so much for this recipe. I love all the recipes from Southern Living magazine. Plan to make it this weekend.

    Aw, I am so relieved - when I read the title of this thread, I was thinking how may humming birds would it take to make a cake? LOL

    It's my favorite cake, I bake it every year for one of my club meetings, and sometimes for Easter Sunday dinner.

    Every year our church has a cake auction to raise money for the women's mission work. There is a lady that makes this cake with the posted recipe and they always bring the highest bid. Each year the same man purchases it. (His wife doesn't bake) Last year he paid $75.00 for it! Ann in TN
