no recipes from me, but i just got DH a lighted spatula for our anniversary. thought if you don't have one, would love to know it's available. it was $25. if you need one, i'll give the website. Right now, my dh uses a head flashlight we got at harbor Freight. that's a big help when cooking too. have fun.

Check out the Summer 2016 Tate of Home magazine. Lots of good camp recipes in this one.

We do two recipes when we camp with the crowd. We do foil packets, chicken pieces, potatoes, carrots, butter and seasonings(usually onion soup mix) on the fire. The other is Walking Tacos. Hamburger, seasoned as you would for any Mex-Tex, then the usual stuff for tacos. Instead of taco shells we slice corn chip or tortilla chip bag open sideways and pile in the taco stuff.

I always make a good portion of potato salad before we leave home which lasts a few days.... one night with bbq chicken... one night with burgers.... etc. Of course.... you need a good cooler with ice to keep everything at the right temp.

Foil packets are always good. I don't cook these at home, but they are good on the evening we arrive and set up camp:
-- Mix and heat canned baked beans and chopped hot dogs for beanie weenies
-- Make white gravy, crumble up and add canned corned beef and serve over toast.
Add fruit or veggies to help balance the poor nutrition. :-O

When we go water skiing, we make breakfast burritos canned new potatoes and onions, prefried sausage, (or churriso) (Sp?) and stir in the scrambled eggs. Heat the flour tortillas on the fire enough to soften and cook and wrap the filling into it. Each person uses their favorite taco sauce. Green, red or maybe Pace Picante sauce.

I also par boil some ribs to have them almost cooked and finish cooking at the camp on the grill with Tub's BBQ sauce. We also open up the white corn husk and clear out the silk, replace the husk. About an hour before cooking soak in a bucket of salted water and grill them until tender. Turn them and turn them to get all sides cooked.

The basko's make roasted garlic on the grill. It is so good you won't believe it. You make it like the corn. Soak and grill while turning. Each person gets one of their own with steaks. They are a much different flavor after they are cooked and are soft and squishy, oh so good on steaks.

Find a good recipe for a three bean salad. Ice cold and yummy with a sandwich.

And oh I forgot! Lots of fresh fruits! Apricots, bananas, apples, oranges and whatever looks good and ripe at the store just before you leave. It is great for breakfast with bagels and cream cheese and a boiled egg. Or perhaps as a roasted side dish. instant tea warms up great if you buy the flavored ones.

And my favorite ... Buy a frozen chocolate cake!

I bring cakes or bars from home in disposable pans. Saves on the dishwashing.
