Well, my old stand by for when I was raising five kids and camping was first night out.. hot taco salad. I had one of the kids cut the lettuce (at home) in fine shreds~baggie it. I cooked the hamburger~baggied it. The rest also goes in baggies. Tomatoes, onion, grated cheese and a bag of Durritos. At camp I heated up a can of chili and one can of hot chili either on the camp stove or over the fire grill. Tossed it all together and MMM good. hot meal, filling and easy! Clean up was easy. If we didn't feel like eating it our first night out, it was still ready when we were ready. Always a favorite for my family. :-D

Thanks quilters! I knew you would help with this. I've got some good ideas going now, but you can keep them coming.

Zip lock freezer (quart) bags omelet. In one zip lock put 1or 2 eggs and add salt, pepper, add one to 2 tablespoons each of the Pre cook sausage and or bacon. Dice ham, onion, tomatoes, red peppers, mushrooms. Grated cheese. Close the bag make sure you get all or as much of the air out. Mix in bag by gently kneading the bag between hand. Cook in one large pot of boilling water for 13 mim.
You can add any other items you like--salsa ect. These can be eaten out of the bag.

That sounds like a fun recipe... especially when camping with kids. I can just see them enjoying squishing the bag!!

my mom used to make something we called "Chicken Mess" when we camped. It was all in one pot, had cooked chicken from a jar (now it would be a can I guess), Egg noodles, can of cream of chicken soup, and can of peas. Sorry no specific recipe.

    Cute camper!!
