    Default Keeping iced tea overnight???

I love iced tea. I use a good brand and make it nearly everyday - I think the tea kept in the refrigerator overnight doesn't taste as good - and ideas on how to have it taste fresh on the 2nd day?

Are you using a mix or tea bags? I make sure to remove my tea bags after getting my tea to the right colour. Bags left in can make it bitter. I find pouring refrigerated ice tea over fresh ice cube makes it taste best the next day.

Are you using a tsp of baking soda when you make your tea? It helps keep it tasting good for another day or two.

a tsp. of b soda???doesn't that make the tea taste a little salty? How much tea are you putting a tsp. in? Do you put the teaspoon in after the water boils?

I put my tea in Tupperware pitcher with a lid...it's when longer than two days, is a problem. But around here, my grand kids love it and never any more left than an hour after I make it! Lol

I had to laugh when I read your message. I don't like fresh tea..I like it aged overnight. It seems to have get a better taste when it's been in the refrig at least a few hours...but prefer overnight.

For a gallon of tea, I use the handle of a teaspoon to measure the baking soda, just dip the end of the handle in, that's all you need. Soda helps make your tea darker in color and it helps to keep it clear. I like mine better the next day too.
