I have a Toastmaster and like it very much. The loaves are regular loaf shaped and they release quite nicely from the pan when done. Low cost too! :-)

I have two that I use often. Make sure if you by one that it has a dough cycle on it. I use that cycle often for dinner rolls, French bread, Italian bread, challah, and cinnamon rolls. I've made hamburg buns, hotdog buns, and pizza dough. It makes it so easy when I can let the machine do all the work and take it out to shape it. My one even has a butter cycle that I can make homemade butter. I haven't done that but the recipes sound good. I can get home from work and have homemade bread done for dinner by the time my husband gets home from work.

I'm interested in this thread as well, I have been making all our bread by hand this past year. Delicious but time consuming...I am looking at the expensive bread maker that King Arther flour sells...but is very spendy.

Thank you all for your imput. I have the West Bend "Just for Dinner" bread machine. It makes a small loaf of bread for 3-4 people servings. It's done in 45 minutes and the bread comes out perfect, but am looking for a larger bread machine. Will check out the Breadman and the Oster. Thanks again.
