I know, sounds silly, but my brother once made me the best meatballs ever ... and refused to tell me what was in them.
Me, I just use hamburg, onions, seasoning, egg, bread crumbs.
I used half pork and hamburg one time, and then pork, veal and hamburg, but still haven't been able to come close to his! Can't ask him now, but I still keep trying different recipes.

    Thanks.

I use the recipe on the Lipton's onion soup mix for meatloaf. I have put fried onions in and that was good. My FAV meatballs are made with beef we get from local packing plant.

I use Panko crumbs in mine instead of bread crumbs.

If your making them for spagetti sauce, add parsley flakes, a little oregano, some garlic salt, and the secret ingredient is...... a little lemon juice.

This one is my favorite. My mom always made them and I would never get enough of them!

    2 ½ LBS GROUND HAM
    2 LBS GROUND PORK
    1 LBS GROUND CHUCK
    3 EGGS
    3 CUPS GRAHAM CRACKERS CRUSHED
    2 CUPS OF MILK

COMBINE IN LARGE BOWL USE ½ C TO FORM BALL

    SAUCE

    2 CANS TOMATO SOUP
    ¾ C. VINEGAR
    2 ¼ C. BROWN SUGAR
    2 tsp. DRY MUSTARD

    PROBABLY DOUBLE THE SAUCE

BAKE 350 DEGREES FOR ONE HOUR

WILL KEEP TWO WEEKS IN THE FRIDGE OR FREEZE

Hi I am new and just joined to share with you my meat ball recipe which is wonderful. The secret is a can of chopped spinach.

Drain it really well, add to about 1 1/2 to 2 lbs of ground beef along with about 1/2 cup of grated parm cheese, chopped garlic cloves (two) as well as some garlic salt, (about 1/2 T), about 2 T dried basil, 1 t oragano, 2 eggs beaten, 1/2 cup or slightly more of bread crumbs.
    .
I have made this so long I eye ball it. My Aunt made this to get veggies in her children. I don't think you can use too much cheese or herbs along with the spinach. Try these measurement first and then adjust to your liking.

Then don't share the recipe with your brother. :P
