A couple years ago I brought baked pears in carnberry sauce as a THKGS side. it was great .. I kept looking for an easier alternative. her is one I plan to do this year...

I found it on all recipes.com:

    CRAN_APPLE_PEAR SAUCE:

2 (16 oz.) cans whole berry cranberry sauce
1 (20oz.) can apple pie filling
2 (15 oz.) cans sliced pears (drained )

In a medium bowl, stir together the cranberry sauce, pie filling and pears. chill until serving time.

Notes from the site: perfect for THKGS and CHRST. Simple but delicious ...you'll get many compliments..just don't tell anyone how easy it was..
Note from 4L I am planning to chop the pie fillng slices down a bit with kitchen shears in the bowl before adding the other ingre. same with pear slices...so all pieces are more similar in size...

Cranberry Orange with Cherry Gelatin Salad

2 packages (3 oz.) Cherry or Cranberry Flavor Gelatin
    2 1/2 cups boiling water
1 cup crushed pineapple (Juice and all)
1 package (10 oz.) Frozen Indian Trail Cranberry Orange Sauce, defrosted ****

*** they no longer make the frozen cranberry orange but on this thread I found out how to make it

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir in Cranberry Sauce and pineapple. Pour into mold. Refrigerate until firm.

Here is the links to show how to make the cranberry sauce

did a search and it was Indian Trail frozen cranberry relish and I think I found the recipe to make your own since the company no longer makes it

Hi, Crafty Bear. Here's how I make my cranberry jello salad, and everyone raves about it.

Put a pound of cranberries in a big pot with 3/4 to 1 cup sugar and a little lemon juice and 1 cup water. Cook until the berries begin to pop. It will firm up as it cools.

Using one or two boxes of cranberry (or strawberry) Jello, add 1-1½ cup boiling water per box of Jello and dissolve well. Add the cranberries, 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts. 1-2 apples diced, and 1-2 unpeeled oranges, washed well and diced. Pour into a 9x13 pyrex baking pan and chill overnight. You can also add some crushed pineapple, if you like. The orange peel provides a perfect foil for all that sugar.

I make a Cranberry Salad an older woman I used to work with gave to me. You mix one large box red jello( I use 'Strawberry or Cranberry) with 1 cup boiling, not hot water, boiling. Stir until jello is disolved. Add one can cranberry whole berry sauce, one small can crushed pineapple, 1/4 cup chopped nuts, 3/4 cup any fruit juice, ( I use apple) and stir until all is disolved. Place in refrigerator to gel.
Topping: Mix one small container Cool Whip, 8 oz. sour cream and 1/4 cup sugar. Mix well and spoon on top of jello mixture after it h as set. Yo can also sprinkle with chopped nuts.
