The best I have ever tasted/made in all my 70 yeaars is Paula Dean's Cream Biscuits She used heavy whipping cream instead of shortening or butter and you can't believe how delicious they are. Just go to www.foodnetwork.com and search for cream biscuits.

Moms always know what's best for their children!! Am so glad we didn't have the liver as often as other meats but we had to eat it when we did as "it's good for you." Those were the days of great home cooked meals and nutritious healthy eating!

yeah my mom made us eat everything she put before us but the liver i would try ti hide it in my mash potatoes and still could taste that liver the iron taste was really bad i coud eat the gray and onoins but couldn't get past that liver so i would hide it the best way i knew how inside a napkin and feed the dog the liver i like the live lunch meat that i can handle with musterd on a sandwich and tongue was just as bad. But my mom was the best cook she could out cook my aunts any day my uncle would call her gravy groovie gravy lol and when he saw her make mash potatoes he asked her is that what potatoes look like in front of his wife poor lady lol
