Snacks don't need to be fancy, just tasty. Trying to come up with something that is original - not your usual party fare. Found a recipe on Pinterest from the Kraft website called Layered Sun-Dried Tomato and Artichoke Spread. Looks pretty, and I LOVE artichokes! I'm the picky one, so I want to make sure I will enjoy eating it! lol

Lots of great ideas! Thanks! Keep them coming!

Bacon wrapped Smokies is always a favorite and good at room temperature
Annies Fruit Salsa and Chips is another favorite of mine and now is a good time to make with all the fresh fruit available. both are on Allrecipes, links below. Can't get but one link in this message. Just do a search on Allrecipes for the bacon wrapped smokies.

I buy the little pretzels, put a Rolo in the center and warm it in the oven for a few minutes. When it comes out, press on the Rolo so it goes into the pretzel and then let them cool. A friend also puts mini peanut butter cups in hers. These are delicious, however you make them.

If it's a hot day, there's nothing like a gorgeous bowl of frozen grapes, still on the vine. Everyone loves them. Just buy a few bunches of grapes, pick out the less than perfect berries, wash and stick in the freezer. Take them out after they have frozen. They should have a nice frosty look to them. Put into a bowl, maybe add a few fresh grape leaves for deocration and serve.

When I read "snacks," I think of tapas. Here's a super easy one:

1 pkg. of frozen puff pastry
    1 pkg. cream cheese
1- 1 1/2 cups of green olives (I like the fancy ones stuffed with pimentos in the deli.)

Lay out the thawed dough and cut into 3 1/2 inch squares.
Chop the olives medium to fine.
Place a tablespoon of cream cheese and a tablespoon of the chopped olives in the center.
Fold over the quares to create a triangle and seal with your fingers.
Bake at 400 degrees until golden brown.

*If you want to get fancy, you can brush the tops of the trianges with water and sprinkle with sesame seeds before baking.

** These go great with those grapes that I just posted above. The tartness of the grapes is the perfect foil for the saltiness of the triangles.

Once when pressed for time I took a big bowl of cheetos and it was empty before any other of the food was taken. LOL Small disposable bowls with toothpicks kept the orange off the hands.

OH for DH's card night he takes a huge platter of fried bacon. It's gone in a flash. LOL
