new use for your long ruler?
Making kringle and Finnish Christmas tarts. My knife cuts are not straight very often, so I am going to try using my long ruler , wash an old blade, and see if it works. After 23 dozen cookies, any time saver is open, still have the pulla (cardamom bread), too. Nixed the snickerdoodles. D H says the kitchen looks like a baking version of the sorcerer's apprentice.

I'm sure in my next life and house I'll have the perfect baking kitchen. Untill then....yep, pretty much a mess. And I'm not nearly as productive as you are! Good luck with your experiment. Should work just dandy.

The pizza cutter is the way to go. Realized that after I looked in the utensil drawer for the masher to make the jam for the middle of the tarts. My husband loved the kringle--had to hide it or it would be alll gone.
