    Default peach jam to make anytime hummy !

    4 lg.cans of peaches drained [save the juice}

    put peaches in proccer and chop.save this juice

    add 4 cups of sugar and cook down until thicken

    add a sure jell package and finish thicken to the constince that you like

    put up in jeely jars yeilds about 6-7 jelly jars

    Pegg: Do you add the sugar and cook and then add the sure jell? Usually the surejell recipe calls for adding the sure jell and cooking for one minute and then adding the sugar. I know my mom made preseerves and jellies with just the fruit or juice and sugar, but you have to cook them a lot longer, and she didn't add any surejell at the end either, that was before surejell came out.

    Like one of the other ladies ask, what do you do with the juice, you mention saving it a couple of places, but never say where you use it. Can you clarify these points please. Thanks

    yes clarify so we can enjoy it! I always take two or three times myself to get things right so please note we are just asking because it sounds pretty darned good. add some fresh ginger or candied ginger omg.. yum!

    peach jam is the best!! When I have extra juice from canned peaches, I add it to orange juice.
