Wow, I want to try this (I love cooking with garlic!), but I don't have two metal bowls the same size. :(
I would love to hear from someone who did give this a try though. If it works, it would be worth getting a couple of same-sized bowls. :) |
Suzzette , I love your puppy!!!!
I think you could also use plastic bowls and shake them .......give it a try..... it is the shaking back and forth that skins them.... |
Dang! I just came back from the store with a jar of minced. Oh well not going to use that much anyway. Beats smacking and you can put it into a Ziploc. and right into the fridge.

great!!!! will do

I heard this same tip on NPR radio show on my drive to work one morning last year...they said to use metal bowls...a few quick shakes and done. I haven't tried it myself.
|
I tried that (bowls) and also the plastic sleeve, I was underwhelmed with the results. My best tip, use OLD garlic, it peels really easy. My neighbor gave me her last-year's garlic that she still had when this year's crop came in. It practically peels itself.

I do the same as chasing hawk

The guy in this video says it takes less than 10 seconds of shaking! Can't wait to try it..
