I'm definitely going to try this! Now, who has a recipe for bug spray for humans? The mosquitos, buffalo gnats, and biting flies are killing me, not to mention the price of buying gallons of OFF. Citronella doesn't work. There has to be a recipe for bug repellant somewhere:-|

i've heard that having a sheet of bounce in a pocket or on you will keep mosquito's away. havent tried it but will later on this summer.

My DH has a terrible time with mosquitoes. He can be the only one standing in a group of people who is swatting at them while no one else seems to be bothered. Listerene, huh? Worth a try. Also, sure going to try the plant spray. I don't like to use pesticides at all especially with pets running in the yard. Thanks for these suggestions.

Thanks for the recipes. Here in Alaska the mosquitoes are considered by some as our state bird. LOL

The dryer sheet helps....and if you are pregnant or nursing, you should stay away from things like Off. I am also the main skeeter attractor in our household. I did use the sheets way back when I was pregnant, and it sure helped!!!
I will be trying the veggie spray. Any idea how it works on cabbage worms? That seems to be our main bug problem...on anything cabbage....cabbage, broccolli, brussel sprouts, etc. Patti |
