Oooohhh...walnut oil is sublime. It goes rancid quickly though. I suggest that you buy it in small quantities and keep in the refrigerator. I'm guessing that it's a healthy oil.

I use mostly olive oil and avocado oil. Some unrefined coconut oil. Lard does make a delicious pie crust so I do use it for that. When I make an oil pie crust I do prefer canola oil. I use mostly Amish butter it is so good. My DH complained about the cost and said Land o Lakes is really good. I made him taste 2 crackers once with the 2 kinds of butter. He complained that one didn't have any taste. I now buy almost exclusively Amish butter.

My favorites (and also recommended by my nutritionist) are avocado oil for general purpose use and walnut oil for eggs. It's pricey but gives them a nice flavor. I also use coconut oil for cooking kale and olive oil for some purposes.
