Do you think I could use frozen berries....and would this recipe work with other fruits? I have apkg. of frozen blackberries too.Don't know why I bought them...must have been a sale haha!
Just add them straight from the freezer and do not make any changes to your recipe. |
I took a gourmet cooking class years ago and the secret ingredient for any type of fruit or vanilla muffins was to use melted quality vanilla ice cream in place of the milk. I love muffins.

OK, four thumbs up! 1 from my Mom, my husband, my sister and me.
I had no blueberries so chopped up fresh strawberries small and added a cup. They were fantastic. Even better the next day. Watson |
Four thumbs up, I am not surprised a bit! This recipe is as close to perfect as I’ve ever experienced. Normally I try a baking recipe as written first , then tweak it the next time. This one won’t get a single tweak! Except maybe trying other berries . I used big, juicy, fresh blueberries but Inalso love strawberries and blackberries.

QuiltE hit the nail on the head. Don't thaw the blueberries if you use frozen. I did and I drained and rinsed them. I ended up with purple batter, no crumb topping and flat muffins. They don't look real good but they taste great.
