My husband and I do the same. Can never seem to eat a whole loaf anymore. Next time at the store I will get a harty bread to try this with.

Sounds good!

This sounds seriously yummy. Another think I do with stale bread is to use it for french toast. I soak the bread slices for at least 30 minutes in the egg/milk mixture then "saute" it in a skillet till it is golden and firm. Like to top it with fruit, yum.

I had salad like this last summer. My Sis has been to Italy & she usually adds (cooked) diced chicken or roast beef......& has it for a meal.
Thanks for the recipe, will try it soon. |
Can't wait to make this! Sounds really great! Thanks for sharing

I've never had this but have heard it really is good. The recipes I've seen say to to cube the bread and toast as if to make croutons.

Saved this and will make when my tomatoes are fresh out of the garden....it sounds absolutely yummy. Thank you!!

I'm going to try this one....sounds delicious!

I've never had a bread salad before and I have a question? Can a person use homemade bread?
