I feel terrible folks! I have spent the last hour searching for the recipe I used. I can see it in my mind. I know which cookbook it came from...but I cannot find the cookbook!! It was in an older Bernardin cookbook, no longer in print. I'll keep looking and if (hopefully WHEN) I find it, I will post. So sorry!

I wait for “Colorado Peaches”. Do they come from Colorado ? I don’t know but they’re my favorite. If you buy a “lug” (whole box) look for the number stamped on the end. This indicates how many are inside. Higher the number, smaller the peaches.

I will look in my canning books . maybe something in there.
no worries. thanks for taking the time to look

You could freeze them, or go fancy and just eat them fresh every morning with your breakfast.

Is this the Bernardin recipe, GingerK?

Peaches sound wonderful and yummy

I would love to try peaches combined with either plums or black berries in a cobbler.

I would eat them fresh every morning with my breakfast.
thing is the rest would spoil before i could eat them all up.
I came home from work did a test batch on Monday. in the fridge to eat.
last night got some canned before we lost power do to a thunder storm.
these will be wonderful this winter.

One year I bought a lug of peaches from a fruit stand by the side of the road in california and made peach butter. Boy, that was good. It seems to me I just went to recipe gold mine dot com and got it. I also make the peach cobbler with the tapioca puddling to thicken it. So yummy hot with a vanilla ice cream scoop. The freestone is the best flavored.
