An easy way to cook pumpkin. Cut in half and put in bakeing pan meat side down add water and steam untill meat is soft and scoop out.I use blender to mix pumpkin.Fresh pumpkin pie is the best!!!! UMM

Old cheapo me got 2 lg.pumpkins at a buy one/get one sale. Boy did I get an education fighting with all that pumpkin. Still have a bunch of pkgs in freezer, but not worth the labor on the kind I had!

Last year I heard that the pumpkins where in short supply and Libby would not have any until late in the year. I ran out and bought 10 cans right away. We will have lots of pie...LOVE it. I think I will try the above recipes to make my own pumpkin. thank you for the recipes.

We grow pumpkin every year...mostly so I can can lots. I use pint jars, which will give me just about the right amount for most recipes. I don't care for pumpkin pie, but DH does. However, I have LOTS of recipes to use canned pumpkin....muffins, loaves, bars, etc.
