Oh, thank you. I had that recipe years ago, and lost it.

I forgot to add the cinnamon until a last thought. Actually, it was still on the kitchen counter and I always put stuff away as I use it. So I added it on top of the flour mixture and mixed it slightly into the batter and it came up like cinnamon bread on top of the apple pie. DH bought a $9.00 Dutch Apple Pie from Kroger last week. He ate a piece and my daughter ate a piece. I threw the rest out. There is less than 1/3 of a 10-inch cast iron skillet left. I've had 3 pieces in two days and he's had 3 pieces heated with vanilla ice cream on top. This is in the last 2 days. Oh MY! Delicious

Delicious and best of all it's quick and easy!!! This is the ONLY recipe my momma ever used. My grandmother used it, too, but she also used to make blackberry cobblers that had a top and bottom crust. She always made one whenever I visited her because I loved it so much!!

This recipe is always our favorite in the Duthc Oven when we are camping. :-)
This is exactly how I make mine. It always turns out delicious. Also easy to make in the motorhome when we are traveling.

I was watching Quilt in a Day this weekend, and Eleanor Burns made one with her little grandaughter. Eleanor put in fresh blackberries. She first added a little bit of sugar to them and then poured them on top of the batter. I'll have to try that sometime.

You can use all-purpose flour - just add 1 1/2 teas. baking powder and 1/2 teas. salt for every 1 cup flour.
