I use glass pans and have had the roll up crusts stick. I use the aerosol spray with flour and haven't had that problem again. I used to make my own but a friend who is a much better cook than I am said she used them and I haven't looked back.

I use the brand name pie crusts all of the time. When I take them out of frig I let them sit for at least 30 minutes before I unroll them. I always use a little bit of flour on the pie dish and have never had any problems with sticking

I refuse to use the pre-made pie crust. I don't like the flavor. I make my own and love it.
My Daughter uses the frozen dough, I don't eat the crust.

My last name is Callender, so I use the ones that are in the little tins that bear my name, Check the ingredients, mine uses veg, shortening, some use lard, It taste and flakes just like homemade, cant find them every where though,I used the box roll out kind and was disappointed to,I dont know if we're related, just like it

I tried the store bought crust. DH and I agreed no more. I followed the directions to the letter. PITA. Making mine from scratch like I used to turned out better and didn't have that goddawful plastic taste/feel to it. I've made about a dozen pies in the past 6 months and made my own dough. So much cheaper in the long run. I learned from my mother and gma how to piece some together. They may not have been blue ribbon pretty but compliments were more about the taste. My only requirement was they had to buy the filling ( no canned), frozen or fresh worked best

I did try the Marie Calendars deep dish pie crust, frozen, at Thanksgiving, I found that one to be quite tasty but I do agree about the roll-up crusts, not as good anymore!

I like making my own but keep the roll-up for times like now; broken -arm and shoulder.
leave at room temp. and they won't tear.

I only use Marie Callenders, they are as close to homemade as any I've found...they are delicious..just took a pecan pie out of the oven...My pastor loves them and this one is going to Wed night service and given to him...

I have bought them for years, and lately discovered what you describe in the name brand ones, but the generic store brand from "the richest owners/ poorest employees" store, are still nice. I use them to make Gallettes.
