    • 3 cups ground vanilla wafer (1 1/2 box)
    • 1 cup ground nut meats (walnut, pecan, etc.)
    • 2 cups powdered sugar
    • 3 Tbsps corn syrup
    • 1 1/2 Tbsp cocoa
    • 1/2 cup whiskey, rum or brandy
Mix well. Mold into balls using a melon baller. Dust with powdered sugar and store in an airtight container.

We like them. We use Myer's Rum.

I use the same recipe, only roll them up by hand and dust in cocoa. Any kind of booze works well in them, too. My ex used to love them with bourbon. But then, he loved anything with bourbon

Does anyone else dip these in melted chocolate? Seals in the flavor and is oh so wonderful on the taste buds!!

My Dad would never touch alcohol, but when he spent Christmas with us, he loved this "candy" we made. He never refused to eat them and no one ever told him what was inside. They sure were good. And next week Dad will be 102 years old.

A little Rum never hurt anyone!!!
