Omm-num-num! Sardines in olive oil, kipper snacks, dry cod, anchovies, fresh fish, shrimp, crab, fried oysters, crawdads, the world's best fish sandwich: Coleman's Fish in Wheeling, WV. Canned salmon--DM used to scrape off the skin and pick out the backbone and I would gobble them up.

Make hot, buttered toast and smoosh kippers between two slices. Mmmmmm. Sardines are second place to kippered herring.

I love sardines! Like them from the can with saltines and cheese, chop 'em up and put in a green salad, use them in Ceasar salad dressing, put them in a sandwich with tabasco, mayo and sliced red onion....YUM....

When I was a kid I loved sardine sandwiches. Tried them a couple of years ago-ewwwwww. I feed them to the hounds once a week. Now THEY love them! Of course, they also like canned mackerel. To keep it in perspective they also like mud-no accounting for taste.

I eat them with crackers and strawberry jam, has to be strawberry, not the same with any other. Also eat them with hot sauce and crackers. Wish I had some right now!

I occasionally have them too, on saltines, yum! I buy Chicken of the Sea ones, lightly smoked, in oil. Use to buy ones in tomato sauce, but can't find them anymore, so have been buying these. I mash them up a little & drizzle a little of the oil on them, then put that on a cracker. DH doesn't eat them, but he buys the canned smoked oysters or the kipper snacks, neither of which I care for, lol! To each, their own, right!...
