    Default Sausage Grits

    It's a southern thing! Enjoy!

    Sausage Grits

    1 pound sausage
    3 cups hot cooked grits
    21/2 cups shredded cheese
    3 Tablespoons butter
    3 eggs, beaten
    11/2 cups milk

Cook sausage and drain. Spoon sausage into lightly greased9x13 baking dish.

Combine hot grits, cheese, and butter. Stir until cheese andbutter melt.

Combine eggs and milk; stir into grits. Pour over sausage.Bake at 350 for 1 hour.

This sounds so good but too much for 2 people. Do your think it would freeze well and reheat or maybe microwave later. That would be a good fast breakfast if you could do that. sassy granny

sassy granny, yes, you can reheat. Or you can half the recipe. I have not tried to freeze it, but it is worth a try!

Need to try this. Should probably order some good grits from Georgia first.
