    Default Sharon's Spanish Rice

    Notes:

Bacon is optional - since it has become relatively expensive, I usually don't use it now.
Ground beef - we prefer 80/20.
    Frozen green peppers work well.
Canned tomatoes - there are actually only about 3 - 3-1/2 cups of tomatoes in a quart jar.
Rice - I usually use "regular" or "basanti" white rice.
Sugar - I usually "sugar" my serving with additional sugar - I like my tomato things like chili and spaghetti sauce sweeter than most people.

Sounds yummy. I’ll definitely be giving this a try. Thank you for sharing.

That is what I use for stuffed peppers - the only difference is that I parboil the pepper halves - and then put everything else either in or on the peppers.

I've made a very similar recipe and the bacon really makes it. I say keep it in!

Maybe the difference is home canned tomatoes instead of ones from tin cans.
