    What You'll Need:

    * 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    * 1 pkg. (18 oz.) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
    * assorted hard candies
    * 1 box (16 oz.) confectioners' sugar
    * 4 tsp. powdered egg white
    * 4 Tbsp. water
    * assorted color decorating gels

    1) Preheat oven to 350 deg. F. Line 3 baking sheets with foil.

    2) On a floured surface, knead flour into dough, roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness.

    3) Using the large star template, cut out star shapes; transfer to prepared baking sheets. using the small star template, cut out centers from large stars; transfer small stars to baking sheets.

    4) Bake cookies until golden, 8-10 minutes. Place baking sheets on a wire rack. Remove stars without cutouts; set aside.

    5) Place like-colored candies in plastic bags; break into small pieces with a kitchen mallet. Fill the cutout space on each large star with 1 teaspoon crushed candy; brush away excess. Bake until candy is melted, about 2 minutes. Place baking sheets on wire racks to cool.

    6) For the frosting, in a large bowl, using an electric mixer set on high speed, beat the confectioners' sugar, powdered egg white and water until thick and fluffy, about 4 minutes.

    7) Remove cookies from foil. working on 1 cookie at a time, evenly spread frosting onto cookie. Pipe dots and lines of different color decorating gels onto frosting. Drag a toothpick or skewer through gel to feather. Repeat with remaining cookies. Set cookies aside until completely dry.

    Enjoy!!
