sticky rice steamer pot and basket
Have any of you used a Thai sticky rice steamer pot and basket?
I was going to buy the set on Amazon, but the reviews are not good. Should I really spend the money?
I have a regular rice steamer/warmer, but just thought it would be fun to try a more authentic way of steaming the sticky rice.
I've watched many youtube videos, and I've been to many web sites with tutorials and instructions, but was just hoping for a bit of personal experience and help here....
thanks in advance for any help-very much appreciated!

I bought a tapered basket from a Thai restaurant, it was cheap then. About $5 I think. Put over a pot of boiling water and it worked fine. I use to make sushi type rolls with sticky rice for the kids. The restaurants don't use these type cookers do they?
