This is the same recipe that I have used since the 70's.

I'll just throw this one in for good measure:

My mom made "Cocktail Weenies" by mixing 1 jar of black currant jelly (grape jelly should work just as well) with an equal amount of yellow mustard. Simmer & add cocktail weenies.

This is so funny for this recipe to show up after all (42) these years. This was the 1st recipe I cooked out of my 1st recipe book as a new bride in 1971. When I shared the recipe with my La-Te-Da sister-in-law she laughed, & asked how I got the grape jelly in the middle of the meatballs. When I told her you made regular meatballs & placed them in the sauce(1 jar chili sauce, 1/2 cup grape jelly, 1/4 c. lemon juice & 2 tbsp. vinegar) she was surprised. I never did bring any left-overs home.

This is the one I used except the mustard was about 1 tablespoon with the black currant jelly.

This is a recipe from years back

    2 pounds hamburger
    1 package onion soup mix
    msg
    crackers
    Sauce
    1 jar currant jelly
1 10 oz jar pizza sauce
    1/2 cup blackberry wine
Mix meat & other meatball ingredients. Brown, bake & drain. Make sauce & pour over meatballs, heat through. Keeps well in crockpot.
Or skip the meatball part and use the frozen meatballs in the bag.
