Does anyone have any recipes for using tart cherries?? I have 3 trees...usually I have enough to make a pie and freeze a bag or 2 that I use to add to oatmeal over the winter...2 years ago I had a "bumper crop"....more than I have ever had...last year only had a handful of cherries...this year the trees are looking very productive again...just wondering if anyone has any favorite recipes using tart cherries that you would be willing to share?
    Thanks in advance,
    Kim

Last night I made a cake I usually make with rhubarb...it is delicious...taking some to work to share as I can't eat the whole thing myself. It is so moist...I add a bit of Reddi-Whip on top...also good with ice cream. Still hoping for some other recipes...but here is the recipe for the cherry cake:

    Fresh Rhubarb (Cherry)Cake

    1 beaten egg
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup sour cream
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1-1/2 cups flour
    dash salt
    1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups chopped raw rhubarb (Tart cherries)

Mix all together. Top with 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup chopped nuts. (I don't really measure)
Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour.(with cherries took about 10 minutes longer)
Serve with whipped cream....or ice cream
